What is HIFU

What is HIFU?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that helps with firming and lifting aging skin through the use of ultrasound. It also helps with tightening the skin on your face and body as well.

Before any medical procedure it is very important to do your research and not rush into it. Since HIFU is a noninvasive procedure, there will be no incisions or scarring to the skin. Ultrasound waves are focused deep below the surface of the skin where it reaches the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS or muscle layer) to stimulate collagen and elastin production and the body’s own natural healing process, without harming the skin’s outer layer.

This HIFU machine targets the upper dermis 1.5mm, lower dermis 3.00mm and most importantly the SMAS at 4.5mm. The SMAS is the layer that sits between your muscle and your fat layer. This layer is predominately Collagen and is located at different depths beneath the skin depending where on the body you are treating. HIFU transducer will focus the beam to heat the SMAS layer to approximately 60 degrees. At this temperature we get the desired cell damage to occur. This cell damage actually stimulates the cells into producing collagen. Collagen is a protein that provides a firmer structure to skin and results in firmer and tighter skin.

After your HIFU Treatment, you can even see some initial effect right away but the ultimate results will take place over 2-3 months, as your body naturally regenerates collagen. The result? Long-lasting firming and tightening of the skin after just one treatment, with no downtime.

HIFU Facelift

HIFU tones and tightens facial skin – essentially a facelift without surgery or downtime. HIFU targets the layers of the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lift brows, lift sagging jowls and melt the fat on double chins to restore the jawline. HIFU can also lift sagging skin on your neck and décolletage.

HIFU Body Slimming Treatment

HIFU can treat and melt stubborn fat – perfect if you’re close to your ideal size but just couldn’t seem to tighten certain areas through diet and exercise.

HIFU is a non-surgical body slimming and sculpting treatment, not a weight loss solution. It targets and destroys fat cells without damaging surrounding tissues so you can reduce fat to achieve a slimmer and tighter figure.

It also has lower risks and a shorter downtime, meaning that patients can return to their daily activities right after the procedure. For most patients, HIFU results in instantly visible improvements as well, with continual effects lasting up to 6 months to a year after the procedure.
